Integrated Media
Los Angeles, CA
A full-height built-in that absorbs the television instead of announcing it, and gives the living room a center.
The Challenge
A large screen on a blank wall dominated the room. Cables, components, and a low console made the whole elevation feel temporary.
The Approach
We built the wall as architecture: a recessed plaster surround sized to the screen, oak cabinetry either side, and warm linear light inside every shelf so the room still reads well with the screen off.
Details
- Screen recessed flush into a plaster return
- Concealed ventilation and cable routing
- 2700K linear lighting integrated into each shelf
- Cabinet proportions set from the room, not the product
Materials
- White oak
- Venetian plaster
- Blackened steel
- Warm linear LED

The Result
The television disappeared into the architecture, and the wall became the reason the room works.
