Living Space
South Bay, CA
A collection hung with gallery discipline — sightlines, spacing, and light measured before a single hole was drilled.
The Challenge
Significant pieces were hung too high, lit by nothing, and spaced by instinct. The wall read as decoration rather than collection.
The Approach
We set a single centerline for the room, sized the spacing to the smallest piece, and added a discreet picture light aimed off the glass. Every anchor was specified to the weight of the work.
Details
- Unified centerline across the full elevation
- Concealed French cleats rated well beyond load
- Picture lighting aimed to avoid glare on glazing
- Laser-set layout confirmed with paper templates
Materials
- Plaster
- Aged brass
- Oak
- Museum-grade hardware

The Result
The work finally reads as a collection, and the wall carries the room.
